shipped my make-up kit wrapped in cardboard and tape because the box it came in (which I always suggest you save in case you need to ship your kit ever) got thrown out...

Perfect Winged Liner & a DIY beauty tool!

Get ready to get "the perfect" winged eyeliner eye with either:
liquid liner
OR
gel or cream eye liner

Not only am I going to show you how to draw on the perfect liquid-liner, BUT
I'm going to show you a BEAUTY BARGAINISTA DIY project to make your very own "handmade" eyeliner brush for super-duper cheap!

WHAT YOU NEED: thin art brush from the art supply or craft store (mine was $1.50) and either jewelry pliers or any regular pliars.

Florida Mall Beauty Haul

 place: International Mall -Tampa, Florida
why: I'm working on a show that's filming here this week & I needed to buy some things
what: ultimately I needed one of my favorite lipliner colors, BEURRE from MAC

Cremestick Liner from MAC in Beurre:
+love the color (the perfect nude rose color, i used to use it in all my older videos (sexy nude pin-up and playboy looks, mouth color)
-not a fan of the twist-up liner (it never lasts as long as regular liners you sharpen

then i saw the MAC girl (sidenote: very nice MAC sales people at this store!) had it on and I loved it!

I love this color!

It is a color MAC already made...

all I can say is wait til' you see what I'm going to show you to do with this color!

THEN I WENT TO SEPHORA TO GET NAIL POLISH REMOVER TOWELETTES (they were out of them so I had to buy a bottle of remover and the girl gave me some cotton ball pads...(she was so nice)....

I ended up, after a Kandee "sweetie" came up and told me how she watches my videos, and asked for eyeshadow advice...I told her how I loved Kitten from Stila and how all my make-up artist friends LOVE that color too...

I remembered how I ran out...

Kitten is a perfect high shimmer (not glittery but the most beautiful shimmer) silvery, yet peachy-nude color.

Other people have tried to compare it to Naked Lunch or Grand Entrance by MAC...but they are nothing like the amazingly fine shimmery pigment in the Kitten color!

then I finally had accumulated enough points with my Beauty Insider card from Sephora....that I wanted one of their free gifts....

I got the TOO FACED EYE LOVE PALETTE

 YOU GET 8 EYESHADOW COLORS TO CREATE 4 LOOKS, the natural eye, smoky eye, naked eye and romantic eye...

My take on it:
It's like a mini Naked Palette from Urban Decay (which I have too) I love the matte colors:
HEAVEN: NUDE COLOR
SMOULDER: BLACK
LIKE A VIRGIN: MATTE MILK CHOCOLATE COLOR
and then there was shimmer-
silver spoon: silver-blue shimmer
satin sheets: pink pearly shimmer
honeymoon: greeny-gold shimmer
push-up: copper shimmer
ever after: a taupey-reddish shimmer


so that's it for my Tampa Florida (trip to the International Mall) MAC & Sephora Haul!
I've already been up for hours with the time change....
and am ready for a nap! ha ha ha

cake is the new flowers....

so yesterday, I was so busy...and I knew I was going to be flying to Florida, (and I'd be on the opposite side of the country as my sister on her birthday) I got up early to try to order flowers for my sister's birthday before packing up and heading to the airport.

I thought flowers are so "not-that-fun"....so I found a place near her that delivers cakes!

And this beauty of chocolate showed up on her door!

(the lady even takes a picture of the person with the cake and emails it to you! How fun is that!)

I wish I could be with my sister...I miss being little and being guaranteed I would see her every day, because she lived in the bedroom next door to me...ha ha ha

I love my sister so much...
she makes me laugh harder than anyone I know...
she is my best friend...
and I miss our little girl birthday parties...
I miss her...

Sister...I love you more than you'll ever know.

Zebra print Make-Up Cases and hairsprayed!

It's way easier to just ship my kit than travel with it on the plane...at least with how much I need for this shoot! ha ha ha

I'm sooo tired...just grabbed a bowl of cereal from the hotel lobby...off to sleep and get up early tomorrow....today was so awesome! To get to make a woman see how beautiful she can feel by the power that make-up can have on your confidence..to just enhance what's already there....that's what I've always loved about being a make-up artist...

Flawless skin in 5 easy steps!

I get asked all the time:

"how do I get perfect looking skin and foundation that doesn't look cakey or heavy, but dewy, light and natural?"...

get your foundation out and let's get started!

STEP 1 (optional)
apply a PRIMER- your skin will look smoother and your make-up will last longer
either to smooth the skin- minimize pores or fine lines
OR
to control oil and shine

STEP 2
apply a foundation -all over your face and make sure to blend down onto your neck...you don't want to look like you have a "foundation-beard" ha ha

STEP 3
"CONCEAL BABY! CONCEAL!"
apply concealer to all the "hot spots" of redness or dark circles!
1. your eyelids - from lashline to brows
2. around the nostrils (a red nose is only cute on Rudolph!)
3. around the lips (to get red of the red pigment if you're apply a lip color and wants its true color to show)
4. under the eyes in a "triangle shape" (CLICK HERE to watch my vid on banishing under eye circles!)
5. BONUS: down the nose and between the eye brows - to make the nose look straighter and brighten the eye and brow area.

budget-beauty trick: use a frosted or shimmery lipstick as a highlight cream!

DAB either a shimmery powder like Silver Dusk Highlight Powder from MAC OR
a shimmery eyeshadow...onto cheekbones and down the center of the noes! 
AND VOILA! PERFECT, NATURAL LOOKING DEWY, GLOWY SKIN THAT JUST MAKES YOUR FACE LOOK LIGHT AND FLAWLESS!
