Fear: how to not be afraid

Fear has at some time in our lives, stopped us from doing something....
when you're little, maybe a dog barked real loud or tried to bite you....you are now scared of dogs
maybe your heart got broken...now you're scared to fall in love
maybe one of your parents abused you...you're scared to trust, love, or scared to feel happiness
you tried to speak your mind once, and it didn't go well, now your afraid to tell people what you think
you tried to talk about your dreams, or pursue them and things didn't go well right away, now you're scared to try, or scared to fail
whatever your FEAR is....go through it, do it anyway!!!

If you are scared to love, scared to go after your dreams, scared you'll fail at something....scared of being hurt.....stop living in the worries....
good quote my friend gave me: "I'd rather have smile lines, than worry warts!"
even if you are scared...go forward...do it....
the fear won't go away....but the dreams, the love of your life, the happiness...will...if you let the fear stop you!

So I say...DO IT, DO IT AFRAID, if you have to...but DO NOT let the FEAR stop you!

If you're in a relationship with someone and you feel like you're afraid they will leave you, abandon you, cheat on you, hurt you.......and you feel it's stopping you from being happy! STOP....stop thinking about what you are afraid of....and love them with your whole heart! (ofcourse, unless they have cheated on you...ha ha ha...) Let WISDOM guide your heart, not your FEAR!

If you are afraid of going after your dreams....go after your dreams, shaking in your boots if you have to, but at least you'll be shaking in your boots going after your dreams!

If you are afraid of rejection....start getting rejected!!! ha ha ha...if I had a dollar for everytime I was told no, or someone didn't like what I was wearing, or didn't like the sound of my voice, or that they thought my dreams were dumb and I'd never achieve any of them....MAN!!! I'd be one rich lady!!!! ha ha ha
The sooner you learn that rejection is nothing more than one, silly person's opinion, and your opinion is the one that should matter the most, the better your life will be!

When I was young, if a boyfriend said he didn't like my shoes or shirt, I'd never wear it again! Now, I'd be like, "well it's a good thing you don't have to wear em! I like my boots!" ha ha ha ha....and you know what, even if they don't like em', they respect you for your confidence and your staying true to yourself!

BE SCARED, BE AFRAID....but don't let it stop you!
I got on a roller coaster, SCARED...heart racing, contemplating yelling at the lady, to let me off, but I rode it anyway, and ended up having fun!

I went up to the man that first offered me a job on a movie set, SCARED, but I asked him anyway...and guess what.....I was on my first movie set a couple weeks later!!!!

I've put outfits on, where I thought, "what if someone makes fun of me!?!", and then I walked out the door saying, "I like it! And if I wear it confidently, no one will bother me! And I got dressed for me, not for them anyway!".....

I had so much fun with my mama doing her make-up...that video is going to be fun! But until then...here's all the stuff I travel with in my make-up bag.....


i love my mama...she makes my world feel like sparkles are all around...that beauty is waiting around every corner, and that everyone deserves grace and love....

Bono from U2!

yes, I met Bono, the BONO, from U2!!! This is not an impersonator, but the real deal, Bono!

this is what happens when you happen to be at the Standard Hotel (note: neither of us were staying there, we both just happened to be in their outdoor patio area at the same time....not sure about the Standard in New York, but I am not a fan of their "clear glass" bathroom walls like at the one on LA. Yes, when you are in the shower, if you have anyone staying with you, they can see you right through the glass, in the shower! No thanks!) in NY at the same time as Bono.
His friend was nice enough to take a very, non-scary looking picture, and Bono was very nice and gracious...
and now, I officially have a "beautiful day, Bono-U2" photo......!

music that I have listened to over the past few days, over and over again.....I get into make-up replays and music replays...like how I wore hot pink lipstick and heavy black eyeliner for a week straight, then I listen to the same station on Pandora for a week straight...my current fav (and for some reason, my silly iphone erased all 90 stations from my Pandora..argh!) is: the Little Dragon station....

Aja Black, who has the most amazing voice...and she's a super mama with two little baby girls, that look like dolls, sent me an email...and told me about Little Dragon, and that she's been using my make-up tips for her performances and photo shoots ( I feel like a proud make-up mama!)....then I clicked on her links and was blow away by her voice (and she didn't even tell me she was this awesome artist in her email, sweet lil' humble thing!)

sick of being sick..and gaga!

so my new accessory for april, is apparently a really annoying cough!
so this virus that has somewhat taken over my lungs...rendering me unable to speak, due to my incessant coughing...so annoying! It's like I have cough attacks and can't stop...my fav is when I'm trying to sleep
 ha ha ha ha..So I'm on day 4 of my antibiotics...and today was the first day, that I really got dressed...hooray!
I feel much better...but this feeling like my lungs are trying to vomit themselves out of me, is driving me bananas! So that is why I haven't blogged....I've been so ridiculously tired...I could hardly stand up just to make a huge batch of incredibly salty, chicken noodle soup...
I've never had a cold or flu that's been like this....and I don't ever want it again! You hear me virus..don't you ever come back here again! I mean it! ha ha ha ha

so since I realized it's been like 24 years since I uploaded a video to youtube, and it feels like it's been 76 months since I blogged...I made myself finish the Lady Gaga Grammy's video...I filmed this right after the Grammy's, and yes, I am just finally finished editing it! Oh brother.....
but here you go....or here you gaga! ha ha ha ha
