ear candy

music that I have listened to over the past few days, over and over again.....I get into make-up replays and music replays...like how I wore hot pink lipstick and heavy black eyeliner for a week straight, then I listen to the same station on Pandora for a week straight...my current fav (and for some reason, my silly iphone erased all 90 stations from my Pandora..argh!) is: the Little Dragon station....

Aja Black, who has the most amazing voice...and she's a super mama with two little baby girls, that look like dolls, sent me an email...and told me about Little Dragon, and that she's been using my make-up tips for her performances and photo shoots ( I feel like a proud make-up mama!)....then I clicked on her links and was blow away by her voice (and she didn't even tell me she was this awesome artist in her email, sweet lil' humble thing!)
but please listen to her amazing voice!!!
enjoy this dish of ear candy....

this is miss Aja Black (one of The Reminders) singing her "love-a-by", song that she wrote for her girls....

and one of my all-time favorites!!!!

may your ears enjoy some new treats...and if you've already heard these....may it be like eating your fav candy....but for your ears!
sweetest of days!
mission of the day:
dance in your living room, bathroom, or bedroom
sing in the shower, car, or belt it out in your kitchen
smile at people, give a compliment and mean it,
smile at yourself in the mirror...!
huge love, kandee

Kandee,

Which you mind putting up a quick promotion for a local Chicago band called DEADMANSWAKE?

It doesn't seem like you listen to much (if any) metal, but they're a female-fronted band and they totally kick butt!

They're trying to follow their dreams, and working to play Briggs & Stratton Battle of the Bands.

http://www.myspace.com/briggsbattleofthebands

Anyway, if you can (I know you have mountains of mail in every sense), please ask your fans to swing by that link, search "DEADMANSWAKE" and vote up to 10 times with one e-mail address x 2 (so 20 votes per day). Voting only happens until the 16th of April, and they have to be in the top 10 (they're in slot 26). You have so many fans and you're living your dream...please help them live theirs?

Check the band out at deadmanswake.com and PLEASE consider posting a little blurb somewhere about this contest. I know if they win, they will do wonderful things. They're so talented and they're all really amazing people.

Thank you for your time.

Keep doing what you're doing. You inspire me in great ways!

I love the Over the Rainbow song! It's like intsta bliss in my brain. It's awesome and so are you Kandee! There have been so many times where I just felt like you have been a ray of sunshine long enough for me to forget about all the things that make me unhappy. You truly are an inspiration to me. OMG - does this girl have an album? What an awesome surprise that voice is!

And that version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow has been my favorite for a long time. It makes me all at once happy and sad instantly. :)

Nice treats, Miss Kandee. Much better than those treats I'm going to have this weekend - all chocolatey and peanut buttery and caloric...

Hi Kandee,

You have just made my day. I got married last year on a beach in Mexico at sunset and this was the song I walk down the "aisle" to. Thank you for posting it today so I could listen to it and take my thoughts back to that incredible moment :)

Take care, gillyandrea16
