What's In My Bag Monday...

I'd like to introduce you to my purse....
(I get so excited when I get to say "this is the bag I designed" for Imoshion Handbags, I've been designing little things since I was little)
Instead of making a video of "What's In My Bag", I thought it's be fun to do a post of pics...
So may I introduce you to the contents of my purse......

 Business cards, lots of lip balms, extra phone case, turquoise earrings I got at the Melrose Trading Post, vitamins, my lil Travalo perfume spritzer filled with my Vanilla Extreme Perfume, old pretzels from Southwest Airlines, my passport and my pretty pink passport and ticket holder that I got at Marshall's, Hello Kitty mirror, the gold thing is my wallet, 2 leather cuffs, lots of almond butter- it's the perfect snack when you're on the go, phone charging cords and adapters, a ring, a mini hair spray, lots of lip liners, part of a broken bow ring, a random jelly bracelet and.....

A Peek Into My Christmas Candyland Part 1:

As you guys know, I love decorating for anything, and Christmas is my favorite....glittery things, sparkly things, and you all know how much I adore twinkly lights EVERYWHERE!!!!

I also have an affection for all things vintage, pink, candy-like, and again I say, glittery! And I'm thinking I'll do a lil peek at different rooms in my house (it would be too many picture to do the whole house at once, and I'm thinking I might do another video tour of my house like I've done in Holidays gone by)....

So Welcome to My Office area AKA my dining room also......

I'll try to say where I got errythang:
Giant Lollipops (on each side of the window): I got them at Michael's last year
Pink Garland: From Treetopia.com (I love ALL their colored trees!)
Phone: It's an antique from my dad
Desk: antique treasure I scored

Medium Lollipop Ornaments: Target Year
Gumdrop Garland: Target, many years ago

Tiny Lollipop Ornaments: Michael's last year
Cupcake Ornaments: they were gifts that I love!!!
Pink Eiffel Tower: I got it at Target last Valentine's Day

 I also put up my white tree by my desk, and it looks pretty in the window at night too! I got that the year before and the "ornament garlands" I got at Target a few years ago too!

PS. I cleaned my desk off for you guys, it was covered with DIY goodies like hot glue guns, glue sticks, pipecleaners, make-up goodies...yes a DIY and fun videos are on the way!

 I always hang these giant peppermint candy ornaments from the light in the dining room! I want it to really feel like you are in a candyland, wonderland! That is Ellie's lil' "tall chair", it's an vintage wooden chair that has a tray to make it a high chair or you can flip it to the back and they just have a tall chair to sit at the table with, like a big girl!

And last but not least, our lil reindeer. How cute are these little chair decorations? They just button onto lil chairs. I got him at Pottery Barn Kids last year, there was only one left, so I'm hoping they have his friends this year in stock too!
And in the background I put little green foam-glittery trees in the middle of each window.

And that is our Chrismas cheer in the dining room / my office, or not really an office, it's more like, I just have a desk there!

Time For A New Hair Color?!?

This is what my hair looks like as I sit here typing this, well actually it's a bit more wet because I just finished bleachin' out my roots. And as I sat with hair bleach sizzling at my roots, I thought....

"hmmmmmm, maybe this will be the last time I do this and shoudl go back to dark ORRRRRRRR

maybe I should do something fun right before I dye it dark again....

like RED!!!!"

So here's the hair color options I have in my house right now....

PINK, RED, SKYBLUE or DARK ASH BROWN (my normal hair color minus the ash part)

And if anyone has ever wondered if I've had red hair: YES, a few times...I didn't really like this "Cherry Cola Red Color", but I did have a bright cool red, that I had in beauty school, but I can't find a picture of that anywhere, so here's a pic from forever ago, and loook my mom had dark hair too!

Yes, I was in high school and that is my younger sister Tiffany on the left, who borrowed my sweet flannel shirt for our family portraits. Yes, and back then, the shade of jeans we were wearing was really popular, don't laugh. Or yeah, laugh, because I am! ha ha ha 

 So there you got a little throwback thursday on Wednesday for fun! Isn't the week just flying buy now!?

I just swiped it lightly on my arm, because if you don't it comes off really orangey-brown. This would be great for darker skin tones, but on lighter ones, like mine, it will looks really "orange-brown".

 It's very light and sheer. Not sure if this would be good for everyone, but for those that have been wanting a white frosty or rose gold liner, this is your baby!

5 Ways To Survive The Holidays After You've Lost A Loved One

I wanted to make a video to bring a little comfort to anyone who's lost a loved one, so I uploaded the video (at the bottom of this page) last night to youtube...my heart wanted to send so much love and strength that we can all do this, we can all celebrate and BE HAPPY, in honor of our loved ones!

I was up until 1am trying to comment back to everyone, and I think Youtube has stopped me from being able to comment, so here are some words I wanted to write to everyone....Let's make this the best holiday we can!

1. LIVE BIGGER, LIVE WITH EXTRA BEAUTY, LIVE WITH MORE LOVE...
Although is tempting to just give up and give in, that's not what your loved one would want! Don't say "bahhh humbug"...say I'm gonna make this holiday MORE AMAZING, MORE BEAUTIFUL, MORE EXTRA CHEER, in their honor, you make the VERY MOST of this precious day adn holiday you've been given! Celebrate with those you still have here, you need to be extra thankful that they are still with you...and you make some amazing memories with them!

2. Don't feel guilty for being happy and having fun!
Celebrate with extra cheer and happiness for all the love you have in your heart for that loved one.
-Your loved one wouldn't want you to feel guilty for being ahppy or having fun, they would WANT YOU to go on making happy memories, especially if you have kids! Don't make their heartache any worse, by not having fun and making memories for them!

-Don't shrink back and let the grief steal the happiness that your loved one would WANT YOU to be filled with. Be an extra sparkle of happiness everyone you go, in their honor.


3. Decorate with extra beauty and dazzle in every detail full of EXTRA love and beauty in memory that would make your loved one so proud!
-As I listen to Christmas music and drink a mug of hot chocolate, with boxes of Christmas decorations all around, I think about how much my dad loved how fun I decorated, and that I would want to make him proud of my decorations this year.
Don't say, oh I don't feel like decorating or celebrating, you'll be surprised at the little sparkle of joy that a beautiful surrounding of your decorations can add to your day. IF anything, go more over-the-top with your decorations to bring more beauty and fun to everyone around you.

(my dad would've loved this house! If only I could decorate my house like this!)

4. Share stories of the precious memories in your heart of that loved one on whatever holiday you are celebrating.
-Let the wonderful memories you have live on...share their stories of laughter and love, it will warm everyone's heart to remember all those precious moments. If you don't have anyone to talk to, just sit and think about them with a huge smile on your heart and say: "I am thankful for all these priceless memories in my heart"

5. Make their favorite food or dessert
-You can make their favorite dessert or dish, and if you have kids, that can remember that this was "grandpa or grandma's favorite......cookie".

And remember it's ok to cry.... Our tears water the rainbows of healing to come out over our hearts!

Know that you're not alone. Know that strength is grown when you do something you think you can't....like decorating or celebrating a holiday after a loved one isn't with you. I will celebrating extra big and sparkly and festive for my dad, he loved that word, FESTIVE! I will make my house extra festive for my dad and for my lil ones to have great memories of how fun mom made everything!

Know that I love you, and we can be strong brave, and live bigger, together!
