What's a Heel Condom, you ask?

So you've got a pair of shoes, er I mean, heels that you want to jazz up...spice things up for your feet....
enter the HEEL CONDOM....
ok, I think I could've come up with a better name like Heel Dazzles, or Heelery (like jewelry)...(and yes, I realize it was part of their marketing gimmick)...but I do love the "heel condoms" themselves...
See the BEFORE...plain old high heel.
and AFTER....conversation starting shoe wonders!
*and I think this particular turquoise blue suede shoe is the same one I bought, but haven't really worn, from Jessica Simpson (word to the wise: they are cute, but extremely uncomfortable and the dye in these makes them smell disgusting)
I am kinda in love with this orange number!
It's like sassy flamenco dancer meets Irregular Choice!

How amazing are these black with the white beads....they look so old Hollywood glam to me! Lovable!
and ofcourse, who doesn't want to take their heels on a walk to the wild side!

and yes, I get it, you're protecting the "heels" of your shoes...but I still think the name should be more "glamtastic"....ha ha ha ha

You can check out all the different styles of "heel condoms" at:

next if someone could just make a heel that was a comfy as a running shoe... our kandee
(that hardly ever wears heels, but feels fancy when I do)

PS. can you think up a different, brilliant name for these beauties, beside Heel Condoms? I can't wait to read your comments on this one!

Shoe Attack: would you wear?

are you ready for the next big trend besides the Jeffrey Campbell Lita?
Not sure if these will beat the Lita's popularity....but as I learned in high school, just because it's popular, doesn't make it cool (insert me wearing white leather, pointed toe Doc Martens and a gigantic pair of bright red baggy jeans. How I wish I had  a picture to show you! And  insert me, sometimes eating lunch by myself...oh mean high school you!
I just want to try these on to see what it's like to walk in them! This is the Delilah by Sensa...and these shoes are ready to kick some "average shoe-ness" out of their way for sure! Now this is like taking an art gallery with you on your feet. People did comment it was a little tricky or impossible to get these bad boys on. I'd just put them in a shadow box and hang them on my wall. And you can even think pink in these clompies too!
On a more whimsical note: May I introduce you to the Jeffrey Campbell Saturn 2 shoe - I kinda love this shoe...i reminds me of a suede-fairy-candy-drop and paired with some black leggings, long layered tank dress and maybe a funky blazer, these shoes could dazzle!
Here's another Jeffrey Campbell dandy...the Zup Fur. Me loves the side corset action on this shoe! NOt sure how well I could walk in it though!
Not loving the spotted look....
the  comes in black with fun neon colored laces....like neon green...it comes in neon pink too!

Is this a shoe you may be asking, well, that you can walk in? Yes Sir! This display of heights and architecture is made by some beyond creative folks at FINSK and these babies are SOLD OUT on the SOLESTRUCK website!
And look at this....modern design....I think Jeffrey Campbell shoe designers are amazing..look at this shoe! It's the Right On by JC...I just want to try it on!

Lay it on me...comment below...would you wear any of these?
How would you wear em?
Let's share some creative ideas!

typing in bare feet, but wishin' I still had those white doc martens... your kandee

SHOES: "What the Heel Lita?"

(source: VOGUE)
okay...to tell you the truth...
the first time I saw the "Lita" shoe by Jeffrey Campbell I thought....
"what the ugly grama shoe-meets stripper shoe is that?!?"
...and then  months ago:
In a land called Hollywood
on a street called Melrose
in a Vintage store....
I saw a girl wearing a deep red pair of Lita's...with black leggings, long black hangy top, funky jewelry and a cool bag....
and I asked, "Excuse me? Wear did you get your shoes?"....
She said, "Oh, a store on Robertson, they're the Jeffrey Campbell Lita shoes"....
I thanked her, complimented her on her cool outfit and continued to buy these glasses for $10:
(hey, hey, hey)

And I thought to myself: "Hey, I thought those shoes were ugly until now that I see them  with my own eyeballs"....
"What the HEEL?!?"

So I do NOT own a pair....but if I did.....
these babies are kinda fun...
I'm still trying to figure out if I love them....
or of I just wanna keep on saying:
"what the heel?"
OR rather:
"What the TOE-area?!?"

What do you think?
Do you LOVE em' or LOATHE em?

Heel-toe-so-si-do... i love you more than shoes, kandee

How to Make Gold Studded Glitter Heels!

Wanna rocker up, add some edge to some shoe, just waiting to be dazzled in your closet?
Here's a quick DIY shoe-style project that took me less than 5 minutes to create!
(probably realistically like 3 minutes!)
Like Ruby slippers...but black and with platforms and with gold studs...
ok nothing like ruby slippers except for the glitter...
but they are heel-tastically awesome!
BEFORE: on the left   AFTER: gold studded wonders on the right

Here's how to make em:
WHAT YOU NEED  TO GET YOUR HANDS ON:
*pair of black (glitter is optional) platform heels
-but you could do this to any shoe...a boot, wedge, anything!)
I got mine at Off Broadway (a big discount shoe wearhouse) -
they are by Eva & Zoe in style: Marvela

*Bling Dimensional sticker from Jolee's
-I got mine at Michael's crafts

*(optional) Quick Grip All Purpose Permanent Adhesive
If don't want them to be permanent, you can just use the stick them on with the adhesive that's on them and then pry them off with your fingers and you have  a fresh new shoe canvas!

DIRECTIONS:
-peel off "gold stud" sticker and place them in whatever pattern you like
they stay on pretty well with just the adhesive on them, however if you want to make them permanent you need to use a strong glue
-a good idea is to place them on the shoe with just the adhesive-sticky stuff on the gold stud stickers first, to make sure like the way you've put them on, then pull them off, apply  the strong (permanent) glue and you'll make sure you didn't glue a pattern you're not happy with on!
-apply a tiny amount of permanent adhesive  glue, like the Quick Grip, to the back and place on the shoe
-let glue cure (just follow directions on the tube) or if you just stuck them on...get ready to show
off your new show-stopper shoes!
(me in my new shoes.....I don't know why my right leg looks tanner than my other leg..ha ha weirdy)
oooh if you like this...wait til you see the SUPER-AWESOME project I'm working on to dazzle shoe...it takes a bit more time than this look....but so amazing I want to frame them! Stay tuned to see them as soon as I finish them!!!!! yeeeee
the click clack of glittery heels.......(even though I mostly just wear sneakers and flip-flops)...

and as always you're totally free to tweet this post, post this or share it on facebook!

Shoes! Shoes! Shoes in my closet!

Here's is my "Garden of Shoes"...these are really the "flowers" of my closet....
I love these hot pink heels (they were $10 from Charlotte Russe and the heels are really wobbly and loose but I love the color...
the turquoise ones are from Jessica Simpson...(for some reason they smell really bad, it's probably from the turquoise dye...they smell like dog poop, I'm not even joking...and I haven't worn them anywhere with dogs...I've worn them once for like an hour! ha ha ha)
I love these leopard print wedges from Steve Madden...next to them is my buckle heels...that are pretty comfy considering I prefer sneakers and flip flops most days...
And behold my most worn shoes....the sneaker...my converse and my silver Royal Elastics (which I scored at Ross!) in order of appearance on the top (red Vans slip-ons, black and blue converse chuck taylors, silver Royal Elastics, bottom - part of my checkered Vans, Checkered Hi-top Royal Elastics, some black patent leather Vans "fake" crocodile print hi-tops that I've never worn, lime green leather Vans (that I wear sometimes but these come untied to easily, even if I double knot and it drives me crazy.)

Lust & Shoes

(look how tall I looked last night with my homegirl Paula!!! she got down all low to make me look even taller than the 10 feet tall i was! ha ha ha)

i fell in "like" with these shoes the moment I saw them all crooked on a shelf...in Forever 21...
I was like 29 feet all in these babies last night...I felt very super-model-height...or basketball player height! ha ha ha ha

If you want to enjoy the ginormous height of these shoes...click here to get em (they're only $28.50!) hee hee hee... http://www.forever21.com/product
WARNING: so NOT wear these shoes if you will be standing or walking for more than 4 hours! I did...and the balls of my feet felt like they wear the size of pillows from swelling!

Now for the LUST-
Sometimes we are overtaken by something....and love isn't something that is this horrible accident...that you just "fall" into.....love is a decision, a choice......if you accidentally fall in love, chances are you will probably fall right out of it!
When you choose to fall in love, it involves much more thought and care....no careless "falling" involved....ha ha ha...when you choose, chances are that you will be the one that chooses to stay in love.

People fall in lust...you don't choose to be physically attracted to someone, you just feel things...but feelings, you can't let your life be run by feelings. Some mornings I don't feel like working, or I don't feel like cleaning my house, or I don't feel like doing this or that....but if I just operated on feelings....my life would be out of control! ha ha ha

We need to make choices...we choose to clean our house so it looks nice, we choose to fall in love, because someone is worthy of our love...we choose to do the work that requires us to rise to the next level!
Today, may you choose the most amazing options out there for you! Dont' let life just happen to you, choose the life that you want. No matter how hard or difficult, choose the best option out there...don't settle for "just happening".......choose the best!

typed with love for all of your precious hearts!!!! i love you, kandee

I've been a hi-top lover since my first pair of hot pink Converse when I was about 7....

I love these crazy hi-tops (above)...they are....i know, i know.......Louis Vuitton....shi-shi-la-la you are thinking...yes, but they are inspired by Stephen Sprouse....(80's designer who like uptown sensibilty with downtown punk and pop...think graffiti and punk and neon colors! He actually had his flagship store in Union Square which is where we shot the "balloon picture"...the store's not there anymore......but a random fact to read!

these shoes are the business!!! I got them for free when I got to dig through the Shoe collection at Vans (I went with my friend Ian, who is a photographer, who shoots things for them!)...his super cool friend, Chris Overholser (who is the marketing-PR master at Vans)...blessed me with a new show collection!!!!

i stinkin' LOVE these zebra shoes!!!!! The sad thing is....I was so excited...the only pair they had was huge...and I thought I could fit in them....but sadly they were still toooooooo lengthy.....if you want a pair..they are called VANS VAULT HI FI LX....i still "walk" (rock) a black pair...but man I love the ZEBRA!!!!! below is me "walkin" the black VANS in NY...which I love too....but you know me and exotic animal prints!!! ha ha ha (you can buy them at: VANS.COM)

My sister got the J-man the cool gold and black kicks....and as you can prolly' guess.....I got him the the turquoise, silva' and zebra babies!!!
