Happy Birthday To The Only Big Guy Who Holds My Heart

Jordan, is my oldest son, and has been my best buddy, sunshine and joy in my heart since the moment I knew I'd have him. Today he turns 17 years old, which yes, I was 5 when I had him, ha ha ha. Just kidding. I was trying not to cry as I looked through pictures of him for this post. And yes, earlier he asked,"are you gonna post a picture of me to your instagram"...in a very, "oh please don't be embarrassing tone". Which yes I will, I'm a proud mama!

But look at how cute he was.......in his little suit?!?

And yes, as you can see, I've had a few run-ins, with the pixie hair cut. Look as his precious lil face!

Jordan and I have the same sense of humor, and he's always making me laugh, and his laugh is one of my favorite sounds!

As soon as I dropped the kids off at school, me and Ellie headed for the store to get Jordan a cake, ice cream, decorations, balloons, presents and the essential musical birthday cards!

He's smart (his IQ is in genius range), he's funny, confident, independent, creative, artistic, and he is and will always be the sunshine in my heart!

PS. I finally got home from NYC last night, and have never been so excited to be home, and even to see my luggage which looks like they drove over each piece with a monster truck! ha ha ha

Huge hugs and I'm off to wrap birthday presents, and hopefully get a picture of the birthday boy to post. But getting him to let me take a picture of him, is like getting to take a picture of a unicorn.

*you don't need to have someone else buy you the flowers to enjoy the beauty of flowers on Valentine's day. Send yourself some flowers at work!

2. Get yourself some chocolate or a yummy treat!
- Yes, go buy yourself some of your favorite chocolates, and enjoy every bite.
(I just bought myself the above mentioned heart tarts! From Eataly in NYC, since I'm still here!)

3. Treat yourself to your favorite movie.
- Curl up with your fav movie, heck, it can even be a romantic comedy. Eat your chocolates and glance over at your flowers. May I suggest: You've Got Mail, which is one of my favorite movies! Her bookstore and apartment, I love it!

4. Buy yourself a little treat!
-You don't need to have someone else buy you something to love it! And if you pick it out you know you'll love it!

5. BYOV
Be your own Valentine! You don't need some stinky guy, or girl, to make your Valentine Day awesome! ha ha ha ha ha ha Ok, they aren't all stinky, but hey, the best thing to do is to laugh and have fun on Valentine.

Once Upon A Dress...

And this is almost like seeing bigfoot, seeing the rare sight of me in a dress...

This was my lunch, except I had like 2 more helpings of Greek salad.

And although I look small on the internet, here's proof that I'm giant, or at least I look like a giant next to cute, tiny, and doll size Wendy from, Wendy's Lookbook:

None of the things I have on are mine in this picture! The dress, which looked like a desert sunset, is from Angelys Balek, the shoes, were lent to me by the awesome, Anna Lee, they are Prada, and I felt super fancy wearing them. Anna also styled my hair into it's awesome, mohawk-ness.

When I told Ellie we were going to  NYC for Fashion Week, she went and got every bag, suitcase, carryon, backpack and purse, she could find and piled it all up like this. She said, "I'm ready to go to the hotel in New York City!" Already traveling heavy, just like her mama! ha ha ha ha

Monday Mayem & Maybe The Dumbest Blog Post I've Ever Written:

Some days don't go well.

I went to write my blog this morning and my power went out.

Then I thought, "I'll go to Starbucks, buy a tea and get Ellie hot chocolate and I'll write my blog.

Power was out at Starbucks too!

As soon as the power came back on, it was time to go pick up the kids from school. It's now 4:22pm and my day has been spent trying to find power for my phone, computer and internet. ha ha ha

2 things that make me happy in this picture:

#1. My little frame that Jordan made me when he was little, with his picture of him and I in it.

#2. That my missing hello kitty brush holder was found in the storage in my garage.

And there's the more right (and still messy) side of my desk....
even my desk likes to keep it real.
