LED (light up) Eyelashes

just think you'll never need a little book light in bed again...just pop on a pair of your LED eyelashes and it's illumination city! ha ha ha

these were made by Soomi Park...i don't think you can buy these, i think these are just part of her inspiration which was started by this question:

Why do women want larger and bigger eyes?

How many of you just want to try these to see if you'd be able to see with the lights under your eyes? 

This puts a whole new meaning to "twinkle in your eye"!

Eyelid tape: crazy or "amazey"?

I've been asked this for years?

"is there anything to help droopy eyelids"

"what can I use? I have no eyelid?"

"I want my eyes to look bigger or more open...."

Well I've known all kinds of different thing people do to "lift the eyelid area"...

but last night when I had the tv on....I saw a commercial with the craziest before and afters (you know how I love before and afters).....

and it was crazy!

The commercial I saw was for Dream Look Eye lifts....! It made me want to buy them right then! ha ha, and I don't even need them myself!

I know this idea isn't new...but when I went to read my comments on my blog and someone asked about "droopy lids", I just had to share this for anyone that might want to try.

HOW IT WORKS: A little thin strip of adhesive tape is applied to the deepest fold of the crease in your eye...sticking some skin to it and providing an "insta-lid-lift". The testimonials say they don't feel a thing, just like wearing eyeshadow. Hmmm I'll have to try it.

But this could be a great alternative to surgery. This might be the most popular item to buy before your 20 year high school reunion is all I'm sayin!

My Gel Nail Polish Experiment

I gonna give you guys the Kandee scoop on the Shellac Gel Nails...
I got them done exactly 2 weeks ago to the day at the Beauty Social and because they say this polish "will last for 14 days....
I said...well I'm going to conduct a little gel nail polish experiment!

So here I am typing this exactly 14 days later from that Saturday...with the results!

Here was me 14 days ago getting the CND Shellac Gel Nail Polish...(I asked if you can do this at home, but it's only a salon job for now...

The Shellac Color Polish I picked: Hotski for Tchotchke ~ a fun turquoise with a beautiful metallic shimmer.

MY  SCOOP on my SHELLAC GEL POLISH:

The Application:
took less than a half an hour
aside from it needing to be done really quickly because they had the longest waiting list because everyone wanted the Shellac Nails- I got a couple bubbles in the polish on a couple nails
-but I think if she wasn't in such a hurry this may not have happened.
And the polish and top coat were so glossy and shiny you didn't even notice the bubbles really.
*nails cure in a UV lamp between coats

The Polish:
The color and finish is amazing! It looks like glossy paint from a hot rod or fancy car. I've really never seen nail polish that looks like it's plastic like this!
*it looks perfect like on a fake nail.
*the shine and glossy, wet look of the nails is incredible
*it's so smooth, looks a million times better than regular nail polish- makes you want to stare at your "new-car-like-paint" paint finish!

The WEAR & TEAR:
I am brutally hard on nail- regular polish usually looks like trash the next day on my nails (and that's with the toughest top coat).
What I put my nails through:
*soaked in water-
*washing dishes by hand
*giving 3 kids baths throughout the whole 2 weeks (that's lots of soaking in water)
Cleaning, scrubbing, scratching and chipping stickers, prying packages open with nails
Cooking, more washing dishes
After I take a shower and wash my hair my nails always get ruined somehow...

AFTER 2 weeks...the polish color still looked amazing...and I was SOOOO amazed, my polish didn't chip or come off at all, until the very last day that I took a shower..it started to peel as you can see here:

and you can see how much my nails grew...my polish is creeping away from my cuticle...hey but at least I know how fast my nails are growing!
 And my nails look so great and healthy after I took the polish off.   They give you special remover to take it off with, but I just peeled mine off - bad habit, I don't recommend this, but just telling ya' how I did it! ha ha


FINAL OPINION:
I shellac-ing love this stuff! I've never had my color look so amazing. And I cannot believe how it didn't chip, scratch, dent or ding the entire 2 weeks until the very last day! Everyday I thought, ok, today this stuff is gonna chip...and nothin!
I bet this is AMAZING on the toe nails! You could wear any socks, accidentally kick anything and no chips or anything!

I wonder if you could do cool color designs. And I wish they made a "do-it-yourself-at-home" kit. I don't know how much this cost to get done at a salon, because they did it for Free at the Beauty Social, but if you want to save time, polish and have your nail look great like  fake nails, but with your own natural nails...this stuff is a must wear!

Crazy Nose Job Alternatives

 As you may know... my nose is not something I am totally in love with.
However, I would never even think about getting a nose job! I can't even watch those shows that show a nose job without feeling like I'm gonna throw up....
And if you are like me...have no fear because... have I found the solution for you!
Some people may call these, crazy Japanese inventions...BUT...
I say, maybe the girls in Japan are about to be the best looking people anywhere! With stuff like these beauty gadgets....say good bye "unhappy with my nose"...and hello "nose love"....
Just clip a butterfly on your nose....and voila! Ok, well I'm not really sure what's supposed to happen..all I know is it comes with a cream called Beauty Nose- need I say more!

nose, I meant, now this thing looks like it needs a bit more explaining since it doesn't come with a cream called "beauty" or "nose" with it...I'm not sure what this is supposed to correct.
all I can access it that something about the UP part might make your nose turn up more....I'm not sure.

If anything, I hope this made you laugh, or at least smile on the inside. Or at least give you hope for your invention plans, that ones like these made it to market!

Sitting here typing and breathing out of my nose that I fear looks too much like my grandma's nose...
the one good thing about my nose is that I can breathe out of it and really that is it's main function anyway...but thanks Japanese inventors for coming up with these things to at least make me smile...because I have no idea where you'd buy one of these babies!

Beauty Social Beautiful Weekend!!!

(Me and the fabulous Billy Brasfield aka Billy B on the hot pink carpet. He has amazing creativity and if you don't know his story- it's amazing! Will inspire anyone! I am honored to say I've been to his amazingly decorated home, and have been encouraged by Billy's voice on the phone!)

 The Beautylish Beauty Social was incredible! Like no other Beauty Event anyone had ever been to before!

me with the beautiful singer, (who's opened for Britney Spears and you know her from her on Cobra Starship's hit "You make me feel") Sabi. She is so sweet!

WHAT WAS  THE BEAUTY SOCIAL LIKE?
It was like a huge party, girls came alone and left with tons of new friends. People came for beauty and left looking beautiful but most importantly feeling beautiful and inspired and encouraged! I've never been to such a nice, kind and just incredible beauty event like this ever! It was the most glam event, from the hot pink carpet, to the mirrored tabled and modern white leather couches, to the blogger lounge where you could get free wi-fi and a view of the ocean, on hot pink chairs!

They had non-alcoholic, fun drinks at the "mocktail bar", the "beauty bars" inside were pink and silver sparkly walled booths of beauty-wonders like:

*the Fresh Lip Bar- giving lip treatments for the smoothest lips around
*the Benefit Brow Bar- giving girls amazingly shaped eyebrows
*Urban Decay's glitter tattoos and Make-up with Warby Parker Glasses to try on

... my final glitter stars! They are still on and the girls said it they'll last 4-5 days!

*next up...to the outrageous line to get the CND shellac polish manicure- 14 day gel nail polish...I love this! I got turquoise to match my stars! 

 *Wella Braid Bar-  braiding hair in any celeb braid style from Blake Lively to Drew Barrymore

*Make-Up Mandy Lashes - the waiting list to get the lash extensions was so long it was crazy!
*Cover FX was doing personalized foundation matching.
*Temptu- was giving their flawless airbrush applications.
*Sugarpill- was adding fun colors to eyelids and eyebrows!

Sunday, mom went and got her eyes dazzled at the SugarPill booth, too! I just their eyeshadow colors to their hair colors!

On Saturday I raced from the Beauty Social over to the Sephora to meet everyone their for the big Cover FX Flawless Foundation event that was going on that weekend!

 Just some of the amazing people that waited so patiently in line! It was so, so great to get to meet everyone, hug them and share a little love!

THEN SATURDAY night was the big Beauty Social VIP party...which was so fun, and I normally don't like things like that, I just feel like a nerd and akward ...ha ha ha But everyone was so nice and fun!

I got to talk with my other make-up friends, fellow youtubers, met new friends and beauty bloggers, I got to finally meet Christine of Temptalia.com!

Later that night I got to meet, Jody Watley!!! (who I have loved forever and had just listened to her on Pandora earlier that day!) she also came to the Beauty Social on Sunday too!

On Sunday, this was me, baby, and Angela Levin, who is THE chanel make-up artist who's busier than busy doing all her star clientele, but took a little break to come to the Beauty Social and talk to me too and pick up toys that baby kept dropping! ha ha ha

I got see friends old and new, most importantly meet some of my precious "kandee family"...and I got to speak last and close the show!

It was the most fun, amazing, and truly beautiful event I've ever been too and I can't wait to go to the Beauty Social next year! I wish their was a summer and winter Beauty Social, or at least a west coast and east coast one! ha ha ha

I love how they have the clear handled brushes...I'm normally not a fan of clear or plastic handles because they are not weighted properly. Skin Emergencies

Look out! I got my Learning Glasses on! That means I'm about to teach you something...well, and if you already knew it, I'm about to remind you of something!

one of these babies is no good....

We've all had a zit, pimple, blackhead or whitehead or some kind of blemish.

Here's 3 tips to help keep the zits away and get rid of acne.

#1. Don't touch your face.
Our hands are like a school bus for germs...ready to drop of some  germs off at each stop we touch.

#2. Drink Up Buttercup-
Nothing flushes impurities and toxins away like water.
I break it down in the video, but you need on average about half your weight in ounces of water a day to properly flush out toxins, hydrate you and keep your cells full, flushed, and making your skin and body look and feel great!

#3. Get your Sweat on...then get your sweat off!
Do anything- dance, skip, jump rope, roller skate, pretend your a bird- anything...just get your heart rate up so it increases your circulation, blood flow (which will increase the oxygen to your skin cells which will make your skin look better), and because you don't want any funk to form on your skin, make sure you wash the sweat off! Especially guys and girls, sometimes when you sweat your hair prodcuts will mix with the sweat and run down your face...a bad combo. So make sure if you've worked up a sweat, that you work up a lather of cleanser to get it off!

I am so thankful I don't have to deal with the skin problems I had to deal with years ago, when I had a bout of acne. And my heart really goes out to those who are dealing with ANY kind of acne.

People message me all the time about what to use for acne, breakouts, a random face unwanted visitor on the face that red and swollen and usually on the center of the forehead or nose- zits always have teh most awesome locations!

WHAT TO USE FOR A ZIT-
So here the rundown- (for a cheap emergency home remedy)
You can dab some toothpaste on the zit. This is better than nothing, but it doesn't have some of the ingredients that will really speed things up and blast that bad boy ASAP.

No one likes having acne. I didn't even want to leave my house when my skin was bad, was oozing, and it hurt. My heart breaks for those that feel their confidence has sunk because of acne.  this was just a sampling of the hair shelves....this wasn't even hair brushes, hair pastes or wigs!

I love Emily at Elle! She even let me pick out some things...I felt like I won a contest myself! Me picking some fun polish colors and almost having an overwhelmed-with-excitement attack! She held lil' Baby while I picked things out- and may I mention that she loved Emily too!
