POCAHONTAS!

Here she is....Pocahontas may not be a "traditional" Disney Princess, but I think this is great to have a Disney "princess" movie character for every little girl, no matter what your skin or eye color.

I am part Native American...and when I was younger and had SUPER long hair people would joke and call me Pocahontas! Here's a picture to show you my hair!
(I had done a little highlighting on my hair at home! ha ha ha)

So here's our Pocahontas look: (plus my favorite part of this video is when my little Blaker walks in front of the camera...well really all you see is the top of his hair, but for some reason I think it's hilarious!

POCAHONTAS HAIR: I just used clip-in hair extension pieces to make my hair look longer...

Face Make-Up: L'Oreal TruMatch foundation in a couple shades that are much darker than my skin tone right now. (I'm very pale right now...I need to get some Vitamin D from the sunshine! ha ha ha)

To Conceal: I used the LISE WATIER concealer wheel.

I used BLUNT from MAC to contour.

LIPS: I used 7C Aqua lipliner from Make-Up Forever, Exposed from Tarte, and Subculture lipliner form MAC. You can use any brown or peach combinations that you have.

EYES: cream black liner (Make-Up Forever AQUA BLACK) and a black eyeliner (Smolder from MAC) and black eyeshadow (CARBON from MAC)

LASHES: I used L'Oreal Extend Tubes, then I used the Urban Decay Skyscraper Mascara to show how to apply your mascara to the side to get a more almond-shaped eye.

The necklace is my own that I got at a pow wow, and the feather earring I got from Cardi Beutler...I just blogged about the feather earring a couple days ago, so just go back a few blog posts and you can find her info!

So let's go have some more make-up fun...sit back and enjoy:

huge love....your "pocahontas-for-the-day"..kandee

I agree, no matter what your skin color, every girl should have a role model to look up to. This was a great tutorial and very thoughtful as well. tired of the youtube girls doing "barbie" over and over again. you are always the most refreshing and real makeup guru out there!

Oh My God! I love it! I'm SO HAPPY you have done it!!
I was mistaken as Navajo because I was tan with long dark hair, and I am half asian and half european.
You are absolutely right with anyone can be whatever they want if they really believe they can! :)

I love it! I also have a request for a sexy zebra print masquerade/makeup mask. I'm going to be a Sexy Zebra for Halloween but I can't think of a good/fun way to do my makeup for it.

Kandee, I love your costume looks.
They must take you a long while to make and edit.
Thanks for doing them.

What kind of hair extensions did you use and how hard are they to put in?

Could you do a tutorial on how to put in clip in hair extensions?

Stunning Kandee, like all of them! :) You are such an inspiration, and gorgeous too, any look looks good on that pretty face of yours. Thank you for your videos, I love them and have shown some of my friends (and my boyfriend) your Edward Scissorhands one, they loved it! Hehehe xoxox

Hi Kandee :)
Can you tell us what kind of brush you are using to contour your face? I keep re-watching that portion over and over again - it's incredibly helpful in showing one how to contour... more so than other videos I've seen, perhaps because the contour is more extreme. But it lit me up in a totally new way, and I'm really curious about the brush!

Thanks so much for being you! :)

I love all your looks! It completely changes how you look from vid to vid which is awesome to watch. I was wondering if you are going to keep doing these princess videos, could you do one on Belle? She's always been my favorite and it would be great to watch!
