5 Reasons Why It's Good To Cry:

Tears, sobbing, weeping, bawling, being a cry baby...now you'll know why all these things are good! Those people that say suck it up, don't cry....well, they just might be full of toxins and angry emotions, ah ha! Here's why a good cry not only washes your eyeballs, but as I like to say:

"Tears water our hearts so the rainbows of healing can come out"

And I might add, I've cried a lot. I cried so much, after my dad died, my face and head hurt like they've never hurt before just from the crying alone! But here's why those tears really are a miraculous "healing liquid"!

#1. TEARS KILL BACTERIA
Did you know that your tears contain Lysozyme, a "liquid" that kills 90-95% of germs in only 5-10 minutes! Yes, tears are a germaphobe's BFF. Think of all the colds or other germs that your tears fight off, from that moment you subbed your eye with your germy hands!?

#2. TEARS FLUSH OUT TOXINS
Did you know that "emotional tears", from sadness, grief, or any emotion causing tears to fall, are full of more toxins than tears of "something-is-botherin-my-eye"(like when you get something in your eye or you accidentally stick the eyeliner a little too close to your eyeball)? William Frey, a biochemist who studies tears, noted that those "emotional tears" remove toxins that our stress hormones have added due to whatever "stressful or sad thing we're going through. So a good cry, really is good for you!

#3. WE NEED TEARS TO SEE
Whether you're crying or not, we need tears or regular eyeball action or emotions, because they lubricate our eyeballs and eyelids. You can't see very well without tears if your eyelid has dried to your eyeball! The average person blinks every 2-10 seconds, each time the lacrimal glands coat our eyeballs in the miraculous liquid known as "tears".

#4. TEARS LOWER YOUR MANGANESE LEVEL
Yes, I had never hear of Manganese before I read Jerry Bergman's article, "The Miracle Of Tears", but basically it's a mineral which effects our moods, and it's found in 30 times more concentration in our "emotional" tears than in our blood serum. High levels of Manganese result in: anxiety, nervousness, fatigue,  aggression, and emotional disturbances. So our tears really help washing the "sadness" away.

#5.  IT'S GOOD TO CRY IT OUT
Just like when you have a good workout, and you sweat out some toxins and get a mood lift from the surge of endorphins, crying lifts your mood. Jerry Bergman writes, “Suppressing tears increases stress levels, and contributes to diseases aggravated by stress, such as high blood pressure, heart problems, and peptic ulcers."

TEAR FACTS:

DO ANIMALS CRY?
All animals in the air produce tears to lubricate their eyes, but only humans have the amazing ability to cry emotional tears.

(hence the product called, Onion Goggles)
WHY DO ONIONS MAKE YOU CRY?
Onions release a chemical which turns into sulphuric acid on contact with our poor little eyeballs, which would be horriffic on our eyeballs, but our tears render it harmless!

If you are having a hard time with the loss of a loved one, and many tears are falling, know that it's ok, and I made this video and I really hope it helps someone, feel encourages...I cry in it, too, only for a second, (I edited out the rest of the crying! ha ha ha Crying is not exciting to watch!) but I'm sending you huge hugs from my heart to yours too, Kandee
