Friday "Fun-terview": Priscilla Ono

I'd like to introduce you to my friend and brilliantly talented make-up artist, Priscilla Ono.
I asked Priscilla, last night is she wanted to answer a few "fun-terview" (like an interview, but more fun!) questions...so I could blog about how awesome she is!
So here is my very first "Kandee Funterview and chance to get to meet someone awesome!"
Priscilla has fear-less style. Make-Up Skills sharper than a Ginsu knife. And is sweeter than a cupcake! I heart her and this is how we met:

(the picture above- Priscilla offered to do my make-up when I went to the Emmy's- I always do my own make-up, so I loved seeing how Priscilla did my make-up and I LOVED it!)
I first saw Priscilla at IMATS (the International Make-Up Artist Trade Show) in LA. We were both trying to fight the masses at the Make-Up Forever booth- and the second I saw her, with her yellow lipstick, platinum blonde hair and uber cool style- I thought, "this girl is 1, incredibly beautiful and 2, has awesome style, and 3, her make-up is A-to-the-MAY-ZING!" - we smiled at each other but didn't speak.
FAST FORWARD- we are both friends with the incredibly talented make-up artist and super-duper nice, Sharon Gault (AKA Mama Make-Up), who is responsible for the Lady Gaga lighting bolt make-up...Sharon brought Priscilla with her one day when we were gonna meet up...
I met her and the rest is history class.

Priscilla with Rihanna in Rihanna's music video.
I just want to stare at Priscilla's hair- every time I see her she has a totally new hair color and cut! I love it! Here she is with the boldy bald beauty, Amber Rose.

AND HERE'S THE QUESTIONS I ASKED PRISCILLA:
1. Do you remember the first make-up product you owned and what was it?
Yesss, i was 13 in 8th grade and it was AVON Black liquid liner.
2. What beauty products do you have in your purse right now?
Let's see... MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick, Cherry Lip liner, RoseBud salve in strawberry, and clean n clear oil blotters.
Me: I love Ruby Woo and Cherry Lip Liner- can't beat the matte red!

3. What's one thing people probably don't know about you?
That i love sleeping. but i never do:(
Me: ha ha ha ha Me too!

-1 Beauty Blenders. -2 MAC smolder liner. -3. Mac Brow pencils -4. Make-up forever HD foundation -5. Kevin Aucoin candle light highlight.
ME: I love everything you mentioned too- but I've never tried the Candle Light Highlight!!

5. What is your favorite thing about being a make-up artist?
Seeing the final product and seeing my client look in the mirror with complete satisfaction.
6. What was the most "MacGuyver-y" thing you've ever had to do on a make-up job?
Honestly this happens most of the time. A client can ask for the most unexpected things. recently i used OCC lip tars for body paint.
Me: Whoa, those Lip Tars are hard to get off! I bet that was fun!
7. If you had to wear one make-up look the rest of your life, what would you choose?
 A classic "Marilyn Monroe" look
Me: I agree- you can't go wrong with a classic old Hollywood look!

Gwen Stefani, hands down.
Me: Aww, man...we are like brain twins! I pick her too!

10. What is one makeup tip that everyone needs to know?
Don't cake up the face with powder. sometimes i dont even use powder.

     1. Lime Crime lipsticks. 2. ardell demi wispies lashes. 3. Urban decay glitter liners 4. Kevyn Aucoin blushes 5. Tarina Tarantino sparkle city shimmer.
Me: Man, I've got everything except the Kevyn Aucoin blushes and TT Sparkle Shimmer!

12. How do you think makeup changes how a person feels?
It gives people complete confidence. I can see someone go from feeling completely self conscious to owning a room. It's so pretty amazing.
13. If you had to choose between doing your hair or make-up for the day- which would you choose?
Hair. i can always over moisturize and ware sunnies:)
ME: And you always have the coolest sunny-shadies ever!
14. When was the last time you went out without make-up on and where did you go?
Today, E! studio in Los Angeles.  4am call times=no make-up.

16. And last but not least, what is one drugstore beauty score that you love?
There's so Many! if i had to choose 1...Sally Hanson Air brush legs!!
Me: I agree! I've used that to cover a lady with a full leg of tattoos  when I did her make-over on How Do I Look- we bought so many cans of that stuff!

17. How are you so awesome and stylish?!?
HaHaHa Seriously when it comes to my own style i love to be completely left field. Im not a normal or sexy kinda girl, sometimes i feel like i look like i'm an exploding graffiti art piece, I cant keep it bottled up in side me. lol.
